Buses use a ton of fuel! I remember after Katrina hit, the Atlanta school district decided to cancel school for 2 days and have a 4 day weekend. They said this would save a couple million gallons of fuel! Thus helping to relieve the pressure on the oil refineries.
If any one has any statistics on how much fuel we burn in buses nation or world wide, please let me know.
Why haven't school systems switch to some sort of electric, hydrogen, or some other hybrids?
